About Us

Tamalpais CrossFit started out as an idea between three friends who all had the same vision. We wanted to open a workout facility where we could enjoy our favorite sport, CrossFit, while having fun and supporting ourselves financially. Through great programming and coaching we bring the best CrossFit experience to you.

To us, CrossFit stands for determination, strength and perseverance.  It offers something to absolutely anyone who participates whether they are an athlete since childhood or are just beginning to find the athlete within them self.  The functional movements benefit the elderly as well as the most elite.

Tamalpais CrossFit offers CrossFit classes as well as personal training utilizing CrossFit methods.  We hope to inspire people to find the strength and courage to be all that they desire to be and gain all they can from their fitness regime.  Our focus at TCF is quality coaching and programming, thereby meeting the needs and desires of each of our athletes.

New to CrossFit- If you are new to CrossFit, you must schedule a Mobility Assessment before participating in class. Please email info@tamcrossfit.com or call 415-256-9400 to find out more information and to schedule your 1- hour complimentary assessment.

Drop Ins- Experienced CrossFitters are welcome to drop in anytime for either a $20 fee or the cost of a T-shirt (also $20), please visit our “Schedule” page for a list of class times.

Personal CrossFit Training- Do you want to participate in CrossFit but are overwhelmed by being the “new” person in class?  We are now offering one-on-one CrossFit Training sessions with our Level II CrossFit Coach Michael Papes.

For only $475 you will receive the guidance of a personal trainer with this 1 month on ramp.  In 8 sessions you will learn and be confident in the 9 Foundational moves of CrossFit as well as be educated in nutrition for health and performance.

Once you have completed the 8 sessions, you can then purchase a membership and participate in classes or you can continue one-on-one personal training at the rates listed below.

This one time offer is only open to people that are new to CrossFit.

Traditional Personal Training- Coach Papes can meet with you privately for ongoing training designed around your busy schedule.

Each one -hour session costs:

  • 1 session per week $100.
  • 2 sessions per week $90.
  • 3 sessions per week $80.
